Prunus Cistena-Purple leaf sand cherry
It is a slowly growing, rotund, deciduous shrub, with a 1,5-2,5 m height and 1,5-2 m width. The perfect location for the Purple leaf sand cherry is sunny and standard soil. Its ornaments are the dark ruddy foliage and the abundant blooming. The fruit is edible and looks like a plum, with burgundy- black colour. Purple leaf sand cherry is drought- tolerant but a wet soil is more to its liking.
