Antonius is an evergreen shrub which can grow to 2-2,5m height and 1,1,5m width. Its habitus is dense and compact. The first leaves on the young sprouts are bronze- red slowly turning into dark green. The white flowers bloom in 5-12cm clusters in April- May. Its black- coloured crop is the birds favourite berry. The best soil for ‘Antonius’ is a loose, well- structured, nutritious soil with a sunny, half- shadowy location and moderate water- demand. It gives the garden an astonishing look planted as a solitaire, as a shorn hedge or with other plants.
