Bay laurel with trunk

Height: 1,2–1,5 m

Bay laurel is a dense, shrubby evergreen shrub with a columnar habitus, native to the Mediterranean region. Firstly, in our country, we planted it in a pot however, now it survives winter outside if we cover it. The shiny leaves are leather- like and have a sinuate margin. The tiny, yellow flowers are star- shaped and bloom in June- July. The trunk’s height is 1,4m. Bay laurel loves a sunny, half- shadowy location, well- structured, nutritious soil with moderate water- demand and sunlight. The leaves can be harvested all year long and they can be used as a spice when cooking. A perfect choice for planting in a pot or outside in a protected area. Bay laurel gives its environment a decorative and unique appearance through every season
