Berberis thunbergii Darts Red Lady

Height: 0,4–0,5 m

A medium-sized deciduous shrub, known primarily for its striking, bright red leaves. It grows to about 1-1.5m in height and 1-1.5m in width. Its foliage is dense, which gives the plant a nice, bushy appearance. It achieves its most intense leaf color in a sunny spot; it also tolerates partial shade, but the characteristic leaf color will not be as strong. It grows well in well-structured soil rich in nutrients. It tolerates drought well and its water needs are moderate, but young plants should be watered after planting. It can be pruned to the desired shape. An excellent choice as a specimen plant, as a hedge, or in combination with other perennials, and it is often used as a contrasting element in combination with greener plants or flowering plants of other colors.
