Berberis thunbergii Rose Glow

Height: 0,4–0,6 m

Variegated barberry is a thorny, round, deciduous shrub that grows to a height of about 0.6-1 m, with a spreading system of branches. Its leaves are dark burgundy, marbled with pink and white shades. Young leaves are whitish with pink spots, later turning pink or purple. It blooms with tiny reddish-yellow flowers in late April and early May. Its fruit is an oblong, small red berry. It likes a sunny spot and is not fussy about soil. Its water needs are moderate. It can be planted as a standalone plant or together with other perennial and evergreen plants.
