Chamaecyparis pisifera Sungold - Sawara cypress 0,5–0,6 m

The golden false cypress is a slow-growing, dwarf cypress that reaches a height of 1-1.5 m in 10 years. Its foliage has a hanging-rope effect, which gives the plant a special look. The scale-like leaves on its shoots are golden yellow, later turning green. Thanks to its initially globe-shaped and later broad conical crown, it is a perfect choice for small gardens or as a container plant. It likes a sunny spot and soil rich in nutrients. Its water needs are medium. Frost resistant down to -34°C. It provides a beautiful sight in any garden, both as a standalone plant and in rock gardens.
