English Hawthorn is the most magnificent and the most often planted ornamental tree. It has two stigmas and it develops a dense crown with 5-6m height. The shiny green leaves have 3-5 lobes and a serrated margin. The different- sized turn to a yellow- red colour come fall. The gorgeous, full crimson- red flowers bloom in May and later it decorates with its red crop. English Hawthorn loves a sunny, warm location with nutritious soil and moderate water- demand. Whether planted as a solitaire, as an element of street associations or beneath aerials English Hawthorn is sure to impress. With its splendid flowers it makes our garden a more colourful and enjoyable place in the spring.
