Hypericum inodorum Rheingold

St. John's wort Rheingold is a semi-evergreen shrub that grows to about 80-100 cm in height, with a spreading, dense, upright shoot system. Its shoots are slender and graceful, and its leaves are dark green, narrow and lance-shaped. Its yellow flowers bloom from May to July. Its fruits are oval, at first greenish-red, later turning red. It prefers a partially sunny, semi-shaded spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. Its water needs are moderate. It is an excellent choice as a background plant for perennial beds and shrub groups.
