Ilex altacerensis Golden King

Variegated holly Golden King is an evergreen shrub or small tree known for its dense, regular crown shape and its beautiful dark green leaves with yellow-edged margins. It can reach a height of 3-4 meters. Its small white flowers bloom in spring. The fruits are red berries that stay on the plant through the winter. Its pollinator is Ilex meservae Blue Prince. It prefers a semi-shaded spot and well-drained, slightly acidic, nutrient-rich soil. Its water need is high. It can be planted as a specimen, as a hedge, or combined with other perennials, as it is highly decorative thanks to its yellow leaf margins and red berries.
