Lavandula angustifolia - English lavander

English lavender is the most popular and versatile ornamental evergreen plant and herb. It is an 80cm tall and 0,5-1m wide subshrub. Its leaves glory in the shades of grey- green while the aromatic scent amazes the visitors. The purple, scented flowers group in panicles and bloom from June ‘til August. English lavender needs a dry soil with good water permeability. It loves light and warm thereby, its water- demand is low, we should water it after planted. After the blooming season we should prune it and cut it by the flowers stem then in the spring we should prune it again but this one is for shaping the plant. There are many ways we can utilise the flowers, for instance by tied in a bouquet, as an essential oil or tea and even as a flower pillow. This plant is an excellent choice for plating in a pot, as a flowery hedge or as an element of associations. English lavender harmonizes our body by charming, refreshing, regenerating and calming us with its appearance and scent.
