Taxus media Densiformis

Height: 0,4–0,6 m

Densiformis is a low-growing, dense, compact yew variety with exceptionally versatile uses. In youth it has a rounded shape, later developing into a spreading, spherical shrub. It grows to about 1-1.2 m in height and 1.4-1.6 m in width. Its needles are glossy and light green, arranged in two rows on the branches. As a female variety, it may also produce coral-red fruits. It grows nicely in both sunny and partly shaded spots. It likes well-structured soil. Its water needs are moderate. Thanks to its slow growth and its ability to be shaped, it is excellently suited as a low hedge, a plant for topiary, or a decorative green foundation plant all year round, around which other ornamental plants can be arranged well.
