Acer palmatum Iyoshi

Height: 0,4–0,6 m

Maple Iyoshi is a special, variegated Japanese maple that can reach a height of 2-3 meters. It grows slowly. Its leaves, which appear in spring, are a fresh green, complemented by a pink, sometimes creamy pattern and a margin of varying intensity. It prefers a semi-shaded spot and loose, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Strong sun can scorch the leaves. Its water needs are moderate. It is fairly winter-hardy in home conditions, but protection of the root zone is recommended, especially when kept in a pot and when the plant is young. When grown in a pot, growth may be slower, but the plant keeps its proportionate shape and delicate foliage for longer.
