American Linden Basswood

Delivery is not possible. Due to the size and weight of the plant, purchase and collection are only possible at the nursery.

A 20-25m tall ornamental tree with a strong, straight trunk and while young it has an oval habitus which evolves to a wide, conical crown. The big, 10-20cm wide leaves are dark green turning into a yellow colour come fall. The light- yellow, scented flowers bloom in July. American Linden is an important honey- bearing plant especially for the bees, who love it. It loves a sunny, half- shadowy location with well- structured soil and moderate water- demand. An excellent choice for planting in bigger or medium size gardens or in parks as a solitaire.
