Callistemon Mauve Mist

Height: 0,8–1 m

Callistemon is a Mediterranean plant, an evergreen shrub or small tree native to Australia, best known for its distinctive flowers, which consist of closely arranged, pink petals set around a long, thin stem, making them resemble a brush. It can grow to a height of 1-3 m and is often used as an ornamental plant in smaller gardens because of its attractive appearance and relatively easy care. Its leaves are green and smell of lemon. The bottlebrush is a sun-loving plant, so it needs full sun for abundant flowering. Although the plant tolerates drought well, it needs regular watering, especially in the warmer months. Overwatering should be avoided. It prefers well-structured, nutrient-rich, slightly acidic soil. Since it is frost sensitive, it must be protected over winter.
