Caryopteris x clandonensis Heavenly Blue

Height: 0,5–0,6 m

Caryopteris Heavenly Blue is a deciduous shrub with a dense system of shoots, growing to about 0.8-1 m in height and 0.6-0.8 m in width. Its leaves are aromatic, grayish downy, rarely toothed or with entire margins. Its flowers are small and bright blue, blooming in great numbers in late summer and early autumn, in clusters at the tips of the shoots. It attracts butterflies and bees. It likes a sunny, warm spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. It is drought tolerant. Its water needs are moderate. It is worth pruning hard in spring to get a dense shape and more abundant flowering. It can be used as a standalone plant, but can also be planted in groups of shrubs.
