Chaeomeles speciosa Orange Trail

Height: 0,3–0,4 m

The orange flowering quince is a special type of Japanese quince, valued above all for the orange color of its flowers. A deciduous shrub that grows to 1-1.5 m in height and can reach a width of 1-1.5 m. Its small oval leaves appear after or at the same time as flowering. In March it blooms with beautiful orange flowers. Its fruit is edible, round, similar to a small quince. It likes a sunny or partially shaded spot and well-structured soil. Its water needs are low. It tolerates pruning well, so it can be shaped easily. An ideal choice in gardens as a specimen plant, but it can also be planted as a hedge.
