Hydrangea macrophylla Ningbo

Garden hydrangea Ningbo is a compact, deciduous ornamental shrub of round shape that grows to about 0.8-1 m in height and 1 m in width. Its leaves are green and oval. Its double, blue-purple flowers bloom from July. The flower color is affected by the soil pH. In acidic soil it is blue-purple, while in alkaline soil the flowers will be pink. It needs a partially shaded spot and well-structured, slightly acidic soil. Its water needs are high. It can be planted in a pot, but also combined in perennial beds.
