Ilex meserveae Heckenfee

Height: 0,4–0,6 m

A slow-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach 2-3 m in height and 0.5-1 m in width. Its glossy, bluish-green leaves are toothed and spiny and have great ornamental value. The cultivar is distinguished by its columnar habit, and in old age it may spread slightly. Small, white flowers bloom in May, followed by red berries that decorate the plant for a long time. It has moderate light requirements, so planting in partial shade is recommended. Well-structured, slightly acidic, nutrient-rich soil is ideal for it. Its water needs are high. It can be planted as a specimen plant, as a hedge or combined with other plants.
