Leucothoe fontanesiana Whitewater

A compact, evergreen ornamental shrub that can reach up to 1 m in height and 0.8-1.2 m in width. The green, lance-shaped leaves have a glossy surface and are edged with white; in autumn the leaves take on a darker, burgundy color. It prefers a sunny to partially shaded spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich, neutral to slightly acidic soil. Its water needs are moderate. It can be planted in pots or in the garden, combined with other perennials.
