Quince fruit Leskovacka

Leskovačka is one of the best-known and most widespread quince varieties in Serbia and the Balkans. It is valued for its adaptability to different climate and soil conditions, abundant yields and exceptionally aromatic fruits. It is recognisable by its large, pear-shaped fruits weighing 250–350 g. The skin is golden yellow, covered with fine down that is easily removed. The flesh is firm, light yellow, with a pronounced aroma and a mild tart-sweet note. The fruits ripen at the end of September and beginning of October, and thanks to their firmness they are suitable for transport and storage, which makes them popular on the market. Harvested in the first half of October and stored until February.
