Tilia Tomentosa

Height: 3 m

The silver linden is a tall, deciduous ornamental tree that grows to a height of about 30-35m. When young it develops a conical crown, and when older an ovate crown. The undersides of its leaves are silvery and downy. From mid-June it produces fragrant yellow flowers, which bees love to visit. It should be planted in a sunny spot and well-structured soil. Its water needs are moderate; it requires watering while the tree is young, but later it can survive prolonged droughts without watering. It is very tolerant of heat, drought and urban conditions. The hardiest variety. It can be planted in larger gardens, along roads and in parks.
