Walnuts Rasna

The Rasna walnut is a selected domestic variety developed at the Fruit Research Institute in Čačak, valued for its many advantages: late vegetation, high yield and exceptional kernel quality. The Rasna tree is moderately vigorous, with a sturdy and well-formed crown. It is characterized by a later start of vegetation, which helps it avoid late spring frosts. It begins bearing early and reaches full production in its 4th or 5th year, with a high and stable yield over the years. The fruit is large and oval, with a thin, light-colored, smooth shell, and a light yellow kernel that is easily removed from the shell. The Rasna walnut shows good disease resistance, especially to walnut leaf blotch (Gnomonia leptostyla), as well as tolerance of unfavorable weather conditions.
