The burgundy-leaf ornamental cherry is a deciduous tree that grows to a height of about 6-8 meters. It provides a special sight with its intense, striking burgundy foliage and beautiful light pink, full, double flowers that contrast with it. Its pink, full flowers bloom in April before the leaves appear and almost completely cover its dense branch structure. It loves a sunny, warm spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. Its water requirements are medium. It can be planted as a specimen tree, but it is also very beautiful in a front garden or as a street tree.
