Ribes Josta

Height: 0,6–0,8 m

A vigorous shrub that can reach up to 2 m. It was created by crossing a blackcurrant with a gooseberry. Its beautiful dark green leaves are medium-sized with wavy edges that at first glance resemble grape vine leaves. It blooms from mid-April. The fruit is dark with smooth skin. It has no thorns and lacks the characteristic blackcurrant smell, and it is resistant to harsh winters, cold and wind. It likes a sunny or partially shaded spot and well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Its water needs are moderate. Besides producing tasty fruit, it also makes a special sight in our garden as an ornamental plant.
