Rubus idaeus Tulameen

A deciduous semi-shrub 1.5-2 m tall. Its white, loose flowers bloom from May to June. Large, sweet, fragrant, ruby-red fruits can be picked from June to the end of July. The fruits are perfect fresh, as jam, juice, dried or even in cakes. It likes a sunny or partially shaded spot and well-drained soil with nutrients. Its water needs are moderate, and it requires regular watering. In spring, once the danger of frost has passed, remove weakly developed canes as needed, and after harvest cut the two-year-old canes down to the ground. A support system is needed.
