Cutleaf stephanandra, or Korean lace shrub, is a low-growing, small, decorative, deciduous ornamental shrub with divided leaves. Its height can reach 0.4-0.6 m and its width 1-1.5 m. Its small white flowers bloom in clusters from early June. After flowering, it produces small black berries, which are not suitable for human consumption. Stephanandra is a plant with medium light requirements and grows best in a partially shaded spot. It needs acidic soil rich in nutrients; soil that is not prone to drying out is ideal for it. Its water needs are moderate, and care should be taken that the soil does not dry out. Suitable as a ground cover, but also as a lawn substitute under trees.
