Ligustrum ovalifolium Aureum

Height: 0,5–0,6 m

Variegated privet has become very popular for its green, bright yellow leaves edged with an angular border. It is a densely branched deciduous shrub with a spreading branch system. Without pruning it grows to a height of 3-5 meters. In late spring it blooms with small white flowers. Its black fruits remain on the shrub throughout the winter. It prefers a sunny to partly shaded spot and is not demanding about soil composition. Its water needs are moderate. Because it tolerates regular pruning very well thanks to its small leaves, it is a good choice if we want a dense hedge or a screen in our garden.
