Salix purpurea Nana

Height: 0,8–1 m

The dwarf purple willow is a decorative, low, deciduous ornamental shrub. It grows only to 1-1.5 m in height. Its crown is round and green, with narrow, elongated leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Its decorative, thin branches have a reddish tinge. It prefers a sunny or partly shaded spot and well-structured soil rich in nutrients. Its water needs are moderate. It is an excellent choice for planting in mixed compositions with other deciduous and coniferous shrubs of contrasting colors, but it also looks good as a specimen plant.
