Red Rocket is a shrub or a little tree which emanates a Mediterranean feeling. Its height can reach 2-3m. The elliptical leaves are soft and shiny. The wide, cherry- red flowers bloom in 10-20cm sympodial panicles from July to September. Red Rocket loves sunlight, warmth and a well- structured soil. It needs watering, especially while blooming.  This plant forbears frost but you should plant it in a protected area. Red Rocket’s form depends on how we shape it. Since the new flowers grow on the new shoots, you should just prune the overblown parts, to urge them to produce new flowers. It is a popular ornamental shrub which gives the garden a mesmerizing look through the summer.
