Cotoneaster dammeri Skogholm

Cotoneaster Skogholm is an evergreen cotoneaster variety that grows to a height of about 0.6-0.8 m and is suitable for ground cover. With its bright red berries and evergreen leaves, it can be a truly fresh splash of color in the garden in winter. Its fruit is non-toxic. It begins to bloom in May, producing many small, white flowers, from which bright red berries develop in autumn, which also serve as food for birds. Its shoot system is heavily branched, densely covered with small, ovate, green, evergreen leaves. Its leaves take on a bronze tint in autumn. It likes a sunny spot, but also does well in partial shade. It is not demanding about soil. Its water needs are moderate. It is ideal for ground cover, dividing up spaces, planting on slopes, or for a garden area whose soil we simply want to cover.
